Dylan's career in radio began by accident several years ago at Wharton Junior College. A local radio station was interviewing the new coeds, and Dylan, a drama major, was starstruck. Two days later, that station called and offered her a job. That random encounter has turned into a career of over 20 years and the stars are still in her eyes.
Born in Durant, Oklahoma and raised in Eagle Lake, Texas, Dylan claims to have "lived, worked, and/or played in nearly every small town around Houston." Her Mom still lives in Angleton, while Dad, her brothers, and their wives still call Eagle Lake home. She also has family in LaPorte. Dylan is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a BFA in Theatre. Saying she's considered too short for the "lead" roles, Dylan has enjoyed playing the "juicy and zany character roles." She lists being a wench at the Texas Renaissance Festival as one of her favorite roles - a part she played for a decade.
Dylan has two children - both dogs (Emily & Chiquita.) Her hobbies include art, collecting "Montana Silversmith" jewelry, writing, and helping her Mom make home-made quilts. She is working towards a Masters degree and enjoying the single life. As she says, "I'm single! And proud of it! Nuff said." |
